Because he is costing the team games with his incompetence?
Dude you're so off base in this entire conversation it shouldn't even be possible. Who is criticizing the players right now? Seriously...who?
And regardless of that answer, why are you moving the goalposts? This is a discussion about...
"Character assassination" please. I'm sorry that pointing out Ryan Day's failures bothers you, but you (and everyone else) should be uncomfortable with what continues happening in these games, particularly at the end. He is consistently failing his team in the biggest moments of the biggest...
Talking about pregame rankings and Vegas odds might be the most disingenuous argument I've ever seen in defense of a team blowing a game.
I mean, wow. Next thing I'll start hearing about NCAA 25 simulations
Who gives a shit what the circumstances were before the game?
We all watched the game, we all know who was the better team that night and who should have won.
Exactly.
2019 Clemson. 2022 Georgia. 2024 Oregon. All games we never should have lost under any circumstance, but did, in part due to remarkably poor coaching decisions that he continues repeating. He's not learning the lessons and/or is not applying them properly the next go around.

Here's the thing - you run the ball with Howard twice, lets say you get 3 yards each time (and that's being generous to Oregon). Now you're at the 22 yard line and it's a 39 yard field goal.
Earlier that quarter he absolutely nailed a 40 yarder, right down the middle, at the top of the uprights....
Maybe not OPI but what about holding on the OL? Or a sack?
There is just a lot more that can go wrong when throwing the ball.
And thats not to suggest we should operate in fear, but these things need to be considered when making decisions. Risk/Reward factor.
I mean, we had 40 seconds still. You can run, no huddle, run again, then call a timeout. With two running plays you would certainly hope you could get some extra yards and make the FG under 40 yards.
It truly blows my mind that we did not do this. As soon as I saw Egbuka run out at the 28 and...
For me, its kinda just shifted the lows.
Losing this game sucked, for sure. But thats not really what's bothering me. It's looking at the things that happened yesterday, and what it means moving forward for the outlook of this team, that is bothering me.
More forward looking instead of...
The difference 4 yards makes is negligible at best. And given there was only 6 seconds left, it was flat out the wrong decision to make in that situation. I'm honestly stunned to see anyone disagreeing with this. If there was still 10 seconds left on the clock, sure. But 6 seconds is just not...
