Rumors are swirling that OSU is likely to add 1-2 more players for this upcoming season. Of course, one is likely to fit the billing of the developmental 4-year big man which was reportedly their intention months ago (it seems likely they will go the Euro route here). Then there is also a...
It sucks now that that there's no more ACC Challenge in the nonconference. I think the B1G should try and find something to fill that void as a conference, but TV rights may get in the way. Maybe since the Big 12 isn't doing the challenge with the SEC anymore, they could go against the B1G.
It's OK, but let's be honest, Campbell isn't good. Indiana State had a historic year last season, but they got decimated by the portal. It's certainly not one of the weaker schedules we've seen, but I am partial to the exempt multi-game tournaments, and not having one is a big negative in my mind.
I really think this kid is gonna be a big time player for OSU. His shot looks clean and polished, he's got the ability to create space for his shot, and can hit of the dribble or the pass.
I tell you what, this 2025 Ohio hoops class is coming at just the right time, featuring several great prospects with Ohio ties just as Diebler is getting started. Already with two top-100 guys, and certainly in the running for a third. TJ Crumble is definitely still on the target list, with...
Great get for Diebler! Dorian has a rep as a great defender, an area that OSU has definitely been somewhat lacking in recent years. Looking forward to seeing his development.
I am bullish on Mobley, so even with the Chatman injury, I'd rather see the Buckeyes use that last scholarship on a 4-year big man with some developmental potential, which the Dispatch reported weeks ago was their intention.
In the wake of Taison Chatman's injury, OSU is now rumored to be looking at using that last open scholarship on a guard in the portal. One guy they might be looking at is Ques Glover. Prior to the injury, OSU was supposedly going to use that last spot for a developmental big man from overseas...
I take that with a grain of salt. I don't think he was forced out, as I believe the B1G guaranteed 4-year scholarships at that time. I wouldn't doubt Holtmann said some negative things to Meechie that helped push him out the door, but it's ultimately Meechie's decision. Certainly for NIL type...
Kinda sad, the last time OSU had a 25-win season was when Thad Matta's players were leading the team (Holtmann's first season). More than half of the 18 teams in the new era B1G have had a 25-win season more recently than OSU.
Disappointed for Taison; however, I'm guessing OSU will be fine at guard this season. Obviously this means OSU will need to have Bruce, Meechie and Juni healthy (and playing), and some of the wings they have also can help a bit with some of the guard duties. Hopefully Taison will rehab well &...
With the NBA draft deadline, now there are a few bigs who entered the portal earlier but explored the draft process and now are looking to return to college. I haven't seen any links with OSU, but it would make sense if they looked at at least one of the group including UK transfer C Onyenso...
