I can see that point of view, I just don't agree with it. He was surrounded by the best offensive units in the country and was about as basic as a QB could be. He executed well but was far from a playmaking catalyst for their success.

Even without using the TE’s as much in the passing game most of our starting TE’s end up in the NFL and have decent careers. They just consistently develop one of them into a steady contributor and it pays off.
