What does everything think about the idea of putting Matthews in for IGB on 3rd and 4th downs that are clear passing situations?
It seems like teams are purposely throwing at him because one of 3 things happen. Incomplete, a catch for a first down or more, or a pass interference for a first down.
Was going to hold off posting till after but I have to add… our field is a absolute disgrace.
You can tell by looking at it there’s issues with slipping. It looks literally like a clean slate of ice after a Zamboni clears it.
How many times has this taken down a big play for the bucks because...
Well right and credit to them for treating them as such. I’m just saying the step up in talent when they come to the horseshoe after a bye week could be a problem for them.
two of the deep balls were mistakes by Smith though. Yes he’s missed a couple but he’s not getting help either. On throws over 25 yards he’s actually pretty good.
He’s just got to cool it with the turnovers somehow but for me he’s been as expected. Not less than expected but also not exceeding...
He’s a for sure hybrid player though… not big enough for DT but probably lacks an elite first step to be a DE.
I haven’t noticed anything bad though when he’s in so that’s great lol… the fact he’s getting some run vs PSU (in their house) over players such as Kanu and Malone as a true freshman...
Eh Kyle often under threw Marvin as well… the Maryland game comes to mind and some for the Western Kentucky game.
Both Kyle and Will tend to do 2 stupid things a game though. Then again so did Craig Krenzel and that turned out fine (Craig tended to not turn it over in the big games though).
I really think this is going to be a tough game. They’re going to want this one for respect that’s for sure.
I’d feel better if they didn’t have a BYE week after their game with TCUN.
We have got to hit them hard to start the game because I tend to think teams are rusty at first after a BYE.
I think he gets it though… this game it cost us twice but it generally Wills turnovers haven’t cost us like this.
He played completely clean game vs Oregon so he’s shown he can do it.
I have to say… IU really has played one of the all time shittiest schedules I’ve ever seen.
Their best win is a 31-17 win over Washington at home.
To their credit they’re dog walking teams for the most part but I wonder how it’ll translate vs the buckeyes.
A concerning game for me at least...
I just want a boring game.
1. No turnovers
2. No penalties
3. Control the LOS on both sides of the ball (don’t get shut down for 60 yards rushing again).
If we do that we’ll get our starters out of the game early these next two weeks which we sorely need to do. We can’t afford to be in...
They can do everything they can but they’re losing that coach after the seasons over.
There’s no way some school like Florida etc isn’t throwing money at this guy.
These next two games we have to rotate more and get our ones off the field ASAP.
I don’t care about the scores just win and get people rested for the last 3 games of the regular season (hopefully). Then also the post season as well obviously.
Same. Wouldn’t be surprised if we start flat.
I want to see this team continue to be fiery after the plays and it’d be nice to see Efficiency from them.
Thinking something like 34-13
Seems like Tez is done for the year… too bad for him that’s for sure.
I have to say Oregon has been the most complete and most consistent team I’ve seen all year.
I think OSU has the biggest upside but we’ve got to keep getting better. Hopefully we can get back to Indianapolis for a rematch.
