This is true. UM will be using a 4-3 Under, which is somewhere between a 3-4 and 4-3. 1 gap, which is more of an attacking style defense, requires quicker/smaller defenders, instead of a two-gap, or read and react, type defense.
Don't forget L. Anderson. While UM might not have the best shot at him, he still is mentioning them. He was camping at UM last week too. Obviously, if OSU offers, they probably jump to the top of the list, but it is still to be seen whether they will offer or not.
I certainly agree height could be a problem. However, if he can cover, and all accounts are that he's got excellent coverage skills, that's a major upgrade to the coverage of the Michigan secondary from the past few years. It's been flat out awful.
The only comparison I was making was that both guys are out of shape. And if Hankins needs to lose 30 lbs, it can be done. I was never comparing their skill level, of which I know nothing about.
I think the rationale is that if Gibbons can do both pretty well, RR doesn't want to use two scholarships on special teams. And the one plus about Gibbons is his leg strength.
I don't know though. I'm perfectly fine with using up scholarships for special teams. SP has such a huge impact on the...
Not sure if a UM offer is coming unless UM doesn't pick up the guys higher up on the board for them.
Found this on mgoblog:
Doesn't make sense that RR wouldn't offer based on the kid being out of shape. If he's got talent, you get him on campus and get him into shape. That's why you have a...
I heard the same thing. Although, UGA was way ahead early on. Not sure how much, if any, UM closed the gap.
I think the difficulty with catching passes will hurt his chances at a UM offer. UM would have to miss on a couple other RBs before he gets that offer though. If it's Feb 1st, 2010, I...
Yeah, I saw that video. Those were specifically run highlights only. I think this is the one you are talking about. It just surfaced recently.

That's what I was thinking.
I'm not sure what to think about him. Seems a step slow right now. He does play in the biggest division in Texas, in a very good conference, and was selected to the all-state team this past year. So, could have a good upside, but, again, a project.
I'll have to check around. I know he was supposed to, or is going to sometime this summer. I remember reading about him recently. He really likes UM, but RR is waiting for some reason.
EDIT---- Per scout, he's camping on the 20th at UM.
Well, you are missing a commit from today. DE/LB Holmes Onwukaife. Some think he will be a ILB.
I don't know if he's been confirmed on any of the services yet though. I don't see him there. He was all over mgoblog today.
