I would'nt worry about his weight. He has decent height for a db and I'm sure they will pack on some muscle during his first year. If he has heart and speed they can teach him the rest.
Hopefully it wont be too little too late for Becker. It seems he has gotten more love from others and has pushed tOSU on down his list. Nobody wants to be someones 3rd and 4th choice.
I agree that Dionte is special, especially on those blocks between the tackles. Perhaps JT might even allow DJ a few of those power carries near the endzone since BS can't hold onto the ball.
Well after a few days to think about what I witnessed Friday night I don't really see Smith as a tOSU caliber qb. He throws a nice ball, nice tight spiral and shows good form and technique. He does'nt have great velocity though. Being fair his team was completely outmatched and he has no help...
First of all, I don't think South Point can handle Ironton but SP is much better so it may at least be a game. SP is without their top receiver and that has to hurt. If SP can get some turnovers and make some stops it could be interesting. Ironton plays a pretty soft zone but are excellent open...
CincyBuck, that is not at all true. Jermon Jackson played at Ironton from "90-"93. They don't play in the OVC or any other teams South Point plays. Ironton plays a more difficult schedule than any team in southeastern Ohio. He also led Ironton to state championship appearances in consecutive...
I'll be at the South Point/Ironton game Friday night and will give a breakdown of the action. It should be a pretty good game. SP is much improved over last year and Ironton is always strong. Ironton plays a soft zone designed to not give up big plays. Should be interesting to see if Smith can...
tOSU seems to take one borderline academic kid a year, could this be our one this year? He definatly seems to have the size, flexibility and athletic ability to make it at tOSU. I have even seen quotes from JT that admissions or whomever allow him one "academic project" scholorship a year.
That cat is built like a house. I have never seen him play but if he has the knowledge and athletic ability he definatly has the build. He passes my look test.
Is Tyler projecting as a linebacker or safety prospect. Seems as though I've seen that somewhere. Possibly a Cie Grant type player. Either way he must be the real deal. Its good when you have the flexibility to play multiple positions. Could give them some flexibility in recruiting other LB's. I...
