If that's supposed to be Vince carrying a loaf of bread, shouldn't you have found a picture that represents a player carrying the ball "like a loaf of bread"? He's carrying that loaf quite securely. Or maybe my eyes are bad and that's not supposed to be bread.
We have mobile quarterbacks and focus on the run... the comparisons end there. The talent on '03 K-State doesn't come close to the talent we have this year. Start at the lines and work your way out.
'05 Texas >>> '03 K-State
How does your run defense make our team worse? I was saying that Texas is better 2005 than 2003. And yes we've covered that you pasted K-State in the Fiesta Bowl. Too bad you're not playing them on September 10th, maybe you'd paste them again.
As good as: true
Better than: also true
K-State 2003 was definitely better than the Tech team you played but we're better than both. We beat the '03 K-State team and I'd argue we're a lot better than we were in '03.
Damn!!! You got me, although I could protest that they weren't the cream of the "Big XII" when you played them. I guess it's a draw.
Calm down skippy :) . I wasn't claiming you didn't have a chance beating us because you're playing one of the top 2 teams in the Big XII. I was simply pointing...
Also keep in mind that neither of these teams was anywhere near as talented as Texas is this year. I can understand wanting to hang your hat on past games to feel good about this game but those two teams aren't nearly as good as UT is this year. No matter how dominate you may be against the...
From what I've read it doesn't seem too serious and hopefully he'll be back for the starter. It does suck cause he's worked real hard to get back out there.
On a less depressing note, if you haven't checked out JWinslow's Texas-OSU highlight clip you should definitely do it. You'll be drooling...
Our O-line and D-line are what let me sleep easy at night. I've always been a big believer that the key to a team's long-term success throughout a season is their lines and we have the best combination of lines that I can remember at UT. Nothing's been proven on the field yet but man am I glad...
That was a hell of a report Xray. I thought about going to practice yesterday but found myself asleep in my apartment all afternoon and too lazy last night to make my way over. We're only a little over 3 weeks away from the season and I'm starting to lose it. My bro got me a ticket to the...
They is the key word in that sentence. They are the sooners and they call him that because he's had a problem with fumbles in the two years he's played against OU. It really hasn't been much of a problem outside of the OU game.
It's probably just easier for us because we've got so many high schools and the state is so damn big. Texas' populations is roughly twice that of Ohio. And for the Ohio loyalists in the crowd, I'm not flaming.
It was reported today in the Dallas Morning News that DKR will get an upgrade within the next 3-5 years that will increase capacity to 90,000+. I think they said it will be a "rebuilding" of the north endzone. I guess this would be the addition of an upper deck and also bringing the seats...
I had that feeling with Major Applewhite and was only let down once, but I agree that Vince gives us that confidence. At the halftime of last year's Oklahoma State game, down 35-14 my brother and I were trying to figure out how we were going to win. We were confident we would win but just...
I've only ever had one football dream and it was about the Rose Bowl last year. Interestingly enough the entire dream was made up of one drive where Vince Young ran all over Michigan. But my old roommate claims he's been dreaming about this game for months now.
Let me lay down my "proof" that one player plays like another...
Wait, there's no way to do that. I am stating an opinion, and the best thing I can do to back it up is say he's a shifty back, VERY quick, and is extremely hard for opposing players to get their hands on. If you want...
Well that ramps things up a little bit...
My post is full of sarcasm but I'm failing to see where I was a dick. But that's fine, I'll let you all see how Ramonce plays come this September. Bush came in as a freshman to a team that opens its arms up to putting freshman on the field right away...
