I am probably just getting old but the old cliche of pitching and defense wins is true. Especially today when every hitter hits .230 and strikes out 120 times and you aren't going to score runs consistently. Pitching and defense won that game
I get your point but the offense was bogged down for most of that game. It wasn't like the rest of the guys were making explosive play after explosive play.
Fair enough. And I'm not expecting to have 8 for 150 every game. I get every game is different, there's other good players, etc. But for him to have 1 catch for 3 yards in any game is ridiculous. I don't care what kind of defense they are playing
If Greene was able to give them 200 innings at the top of the rotation (big ask for him specifically and really any pitcher now days) I think they would be in playoff position. Singer is a good 4th starter
That was so frustrating to me that our coaches basically allowed Smith to be taken out of games. He's not the first receiver to ever be covered by a safety too
Klatt comparing Smith to Adrian Peterson makes sense. He's the guy I thought of too. Where this guy as true freshman is immediately the best player on the team and maybe in the country. This is a random aside but he basically says Moss was better than Terrell Owens and I just firmly disagree on...
It was bad enough running up the middle directly at tun's only strength, d tackle, but Treyveon, who had a great career and has obvious strengths, I don't you think you'd say running up the middle and banging out tough yards is one of them. That's what made Zeke so great---he could break big...
That's one thing that gives me confidence in having a rookie OC. That tun game was I think literally the worst game planned and called game I have ever seen
Kindof random but Texas is the best random Ohio State football "rivalry' isn't it? Texas has been down some recently but it's obviously one of the heavy hitters in college football. The games they have played in the past years 20 years have all been borderline classics, granted some of them...
They need to bring him up now. Although it seems like the gap between AAA and the big leagues is bigger than ever. Look at the guy Caglianone on the Royals. Great player in college, dominated the minors, basically unplayable in KC
