I go back and forth on him. His resume is unquestionably pretty good overall. But when you come to Ohio State noone really cares what you do against Minnesota. I do not feel confident in him lining up for a 43 yarder in a playoff game, bottom line
I don't know if I'm more mad or less mad after a few days. You can't even say oh well we just played a random bad game b/c what happened was the things we do poorly cost us the game
Reminds me of the movie Annie Hall when Woody Allen comes over to Diane Keaton's house to kill a spider for her and he says trying to act tough "Ive been killing spiders since I was 30, ok?"
Zach Boren was good on the Bucknuts show today. If you have fullbacks and tight ends who are mashers and you want to go 13, 14 personnel, that's great. But they don't
I still have confidence. I dont think our O-line is as good as it was in Ann Arbor, nor as bad as it was against Indiana. As long as they can give you just a B performance we have a good shot
I dont get into the whole blaminng the refs thing (obviously they are going to miss some calls and they aren't going to call 30 penalties a game) but that one is pretty bad lol
Just watched the play in the red zone where Sayin sprints to his left and has to throw an absolute dime to Smith and Smith has to do something special for it to have any chance. That's what we've got?
Bo Jackson is a good solid back. But he's not a game changer (at least not now---I dont know if people thought Zeke would become what he became fwiw) but I'm sure other teams are fine with him getting 20 carries a game
It's crazy how often Northern teams are at a disadvatage in bowl games. Playing USC in LA, LSU in Louisiana, Georgia in Atlanta etc. Now maybe Texas A&M in Texas. (After having played Indiana in Indiana.) Let's play one of these games in Cleveland
Just read Tim Shoemaker saying 60% of the red zone snaps came with either 3 or 4 tight ends on the field. Not going to pretend I'm breaking down tight end blocking tape but it's clearly not working b/c this team has bad been all season in short yardage
Agree. I understand why you're doing it in the regular season to limit wear and tear etc. But Day said when it's time go they would...and then they didn't. He's obsessed with winning games with running the ball for some reason. If you asked any opponent if they want Ohio State to play fast and...
I hate everything. That we can't a yard when we need it. It's just baffling to me. I dont have a problem with Day choosing to kick a field goal in theory. But does anyone want Fielding taking big kicks? And that INDIANA beat us fair and square lol
