there are some posters on other boards that are now thinking all of this is intentional.
the NCAA, the SEC, and LSU are all in this thing together to create chaos :slappy:
oh i have no doubt Lane Kiffin being involved is a huge component of all this.
and yep, we’re the bad guys now.
might as well embrace it.
it worked for Tha U for a while before it collapsed. Should at the very least be entertaining for the time being.
:slappy:
doing the same exact thing everyone else was already doing with the SEC’s blessing (even if an indirect blessing by not trying to stop it previously).
i’m not even attempting to say that LSU is some moral beacon or “singing Bible hymns”.
i’m saying they looked around at what was previously...
again, to be clear on my stance on this shitshow.
I don't think any of these guys SHOULD be eligible.
but if they ARE eligible, then schools should be able to go after them.
and my biggest gripe is that the SEC has previously had no problems with any other schools signing any other players...
oh please enlighten me then.
because here is what happened.
44 (former) NCAA athletes filed a suit against the NCCA for their fifth year of eligibility.
only 2 of those 44 are connected to LSU football in any way.
so at the end of the day, the SEC is going after LSU for recruiting and trying...
also if anyone here has a legal background, can y’all answer a question for me?
How can this case and the lawsuit being filed by the SEC be heard in the “home territory” of either side?
this case is in Louisiana
the SEC lawsuit is gonna be in Alabama
shouldn’t this have to move to fucking...
Sankey Said he isn't aware of any particular players situation and it's not an issue about being a pro athlete but he thinks that if a player moves on then they have made their choice and should not be able to come back.
um, what?
so moving on to minicamp isn’t moving on?
getting paid to...
of the 44 total plaintiffs, the Judge has agreed that only 7 of them (ones with SEC ties) need to be involved in this particular case and will separate the hearings.
of those 7, two are trying to play for LSU this year.
2 of 44.
but yeah, LSU is the big bad wolf in this whole situation...
Asked sankey about 91 basketball overseas pros who are allowed to play in ncaa.
Sankey said they played overseas for clubs and other things that may not specifically be professional leagues.
Sankey also said he does not know the definition of pro for those players
just breaking that the SEC has filed a lawsuit directly against LSU and Lane Kiffen for
"Defendants waged a deliberate and coordinated campaign to recruit professional athletes to play football for LSU during the 2026-27 season."
this is going to get really interesting really fast now.
