Me, being selfish, hopes this is true. I don't want to wish away the best WR in program history, but Sayin seems to be forcing the ball to JS rather than hitting the open guy. Rose colored glasses me blames some of the misses on keying in on #4, and if he doesn't have the pressure to let JS eat...
The Browns have a vested interest in Watson getting some sort of season ending injury before moving on to someone else. IIRC they got 80M in insurance money for all the games Watson has missed so far in his time in CLE.
I just asked myself if Texas St. was an FBS team. Imagine my surprise when I checked to find that they are in the Pac-12. What an absolute joke of a conference.
On the other hand, tell that to scUM. As I was once told, things are never as good or as bad as they look in game one. Let them watch film and make corrections for next week. That last bit is for Daniels. Those twats up north can lose the rest of their games.
I'm glad he got one at the end. Dude seems to have no trouble getting open. Hopefully the drops were just first-game jitters, but it does seem like he needs to work on his strength to make contested catches like Jeremiah's first TD.
It almost seems worse to need the refs to bail you out to beat a MAC team and have that be the major story than to just lose to the MAC team. I mean, nobody talks about how scUM lost to a 1AA team at home anymore, right? The only way they can avoid sucking is to cheat. That's the real story.
