    LB Coach James Laurinaitis (2x B1G DPOY, 2006 Nagurski, 2007 Butkus, 2008 Lott, 3x All-American, OSU HOF)

I have no problem with this. Just because someone was a good player at OSU it doesn’t necessarily mean that he’ll be a good coach. Maybe JL isn’t ready…. If that’s the case, I say go find the best option out there.

Shaka Smart would be my first call.

tOSU vs Missouri, Goodyear Cotton Bowl, Friday Dec. 29, 8 ET on ESPN

I know that a lot of people have written off this game, but they shouldn't. This one could shape up to be a very good one. Push aside the self loathing/coach bashing and remember what first made you love OSU football. Just flip the game on and be a fan, this is a Bowl game and there's plenty...

QB Devin "Utah" Brown (Official Thread)

The safe approach ended up backfiring. All great quarterbacks are risk takers. Watch any game on Sunday. The margin between a touchdown and a turnover is very small. You need a guy with the balls and the confidence to think he can get that touchdown.

HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

OSU will age you very quickly, especially if you lose to the team up north. Day is a good dude. His family is very nice as well. I have had some encounters with them throughout the years and they’ve always been very kind. He’s in a tough spot right now. How he handles the next year or so will...

QB Discussion Thread, Cotton Bowl and 2024

Personally, I’m rooting for Lincoln to step up and win the job. The kid has a track record of winning games and seems to have some moxie.

tOSU vs Missouri, Goodyear Cotton Bowl, Friday Dec. 29, 8 ET on ESPN

I grew up watching the Buckeyes in the 80s and 90s. The Cotton Bowl isn’t anywhere close to what the Alamo Bowl, or Liberty Bowl used to be. Our fanbase is incredibly spoiled and it’s become overrun with people who are probably too young to remember times when we weren’t at this level. For...

HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

Here comes the Vrabel talk...... IIRC he wasn't a fan of recruiting. I'd imagine the current NIL landscape wouldn't excite him either.

DC/LB Coach Jim Knowles (Official Thread)

Bingo. Knowles had the defense performing at a championship level this season. People need to step back from the ledge and check themselves.

DC/LB Coach Jim Knowles (Official Thread)

You jumped to a lot of conclusions with my post, amigo. I didn’t give him a pass, I was simply saying that the defense wasn’t up to snuff from a talent standpoint. You can play soft ass zone coverage and try to hide your weaknesses but a good OC will figure you out regardless. Ive watched a...

DC/LB Coach Jim Knowles (Official Thread)

Knowles’ biggest issue is that he played such an aggressive scheme with average athletes in our back 4. In order for his scheme to succeed you need to have great corners and safeties. These things aren’t his fault. For all of the love people gave Coombs until it was too late, he really did...

WR Marvin Harrison, Jr. (Silver Football, 2x Unanimous All-American, 2023 Biletnikoff winner, Heisman Finalist)

Marv going to USC to play for Riley would be a downgrade. He’s not going anywhere.
