Hey Dayton-- sorry I've been a bit crazy here but to let you know I can say this: I don't know a ton about the area of Long Island that you are going to be working in, but yes: don't live in Uniondale. I know that Garden City, which is very close by, is supposedly nice and I believe it is a bit of the center of the area. There are a bunch of money firms there anyway, and I asked a friend that has a place in the Hamptons and at least a few friends in the areas between (which are really very nebulous, btw), and also thinks Garden City is nice and one of your best bets and has spent some time there. If you need local info I can get it from someone, or will have it, and if you help in someway or whatever as you move here I'm around-- no worries.
As soon as I saw the store front for Bucci's I knew where it was. That's the third Pizza shop to go into that spot in three years. Wally's and PizzaMan both flopped. My kids went to TKD just a couple of doors down where the Baptist church has a unit now. The TKD place moved to the end of Cosgray near Beef O'Brady's. I'll have to give Bucci's a try
