You know that saying "I will come at you like a spider monkey?"

Yeah well fuck that, what out for the aye-aye monkey!!

Oh Yeah. Vampire bats and Nutria have been mating in the swamps since the mid 90s. This is a baby one. The adults can suck the blood out of a boy scout and leave his white pasty body lying in the muck.

I tell that to all my new scouts.

I'm gonna guess most of you haven't had the chance to do this, but.
If you ever get the chance to walk out in the marsh just before/right at dawn with someone who has never been out there, DO IT.

These damn nutrias are know to let out a god awful shreiky yell. It is loud as fuck, and sound like someone is butchering a baby. The 1st time someone hears it is all but gauranteed to make them crap their pants.
You can only imagine walking around in that muck, barely able to see where you're going, everything looks like something out of a horror flick, then that shit pierces the air.

Great idea... any suggestions as to a story I could use to convince somebody else to accompany me into the marsh at dawn? Seems a bit like trying to convince somebody whose not from the midwest about all the fun of cowtipping...

First time I ever heard active, in heat, cats mating I thought it was a baby screaming. I was in high school so what the hell did i know about babies sreaming , but it freaked me right the fuck out. If those furry overgrown bucktoothed rats make a noise anything like that, fuck you very much and your moonlit walk, Nutria. :wink2:

Well, I was taking my (now ex) brother-in-law fishing. He's from Pennsylvania and had never been marsh fishing. So on one of his trips down here, we decided to take a fishing trip. Funny as hell watching a guy who's about 6'3" 250 or so tripping over himself and cypress knees not knowing where to go or what to do . Only thing that would have made it funnier is if he would have caught a serious case of the nutriaitch (yep it's a real rash) from all the splashing/swimming he was doing.:slappy:
