Surely to be very AfFoRdAbLe
It's about a 7 hour drive from where I live, so I am driving out with my pops and making the most of it. Hitting some breweries in Bend, doing a coast trip the next day, and then off to Eugene. Not wishing away the summer or the beginning of the season, but I am so amped up to go to this game. Always wanted to go to a game in Autzen Stadium and of course this is the ideal game to do it.

Jeez, RB, you're making me feel ashamed if I stay at home and watch from the comfort of my couch. Probably about 8 hours from mid-Cali, and some of the sights you're talking about are on the bucket list. Got some old friends up there on the coast, who deserve a visit from me and wifey, and a cheese factory visit is in order. Haven't been to Oregon coast since visit to Yachats several decades ago. Any thoughts of a tail-gate? Would love to see a game in the house that Nike built. Ticket availability? Go Bucks!

Comfort of the couch is never bad my friend, but I planned this one out way in advance and obligate myself to go to at least one game a year. This one is a premiere game and I love the drive out there, and everything that goes with it, so it was an easy decision for me. Tickets are available on the ticket sites but as @DaddyBigBucks said they are not cheap. Hell, I bought mine some time back and they were $300 a piece for average seats. But I had to do it, I had tickets in 2020 and we all know that didn't happen. Plus my dad has never been to Oregon and the Oregon coast, so I decided to make it a trip that happens to include the game. If you do it, definitely hit the Tillamook cheese factory, that place is awesome. Just realized I haven't been to Eugene since I wore my Zeke playoff jersey there right after OSU beat them in the Natty.

I know it is way out, but what is their QB situation supposed to look like with Nix gone? I know Oregon is supposed to be pretty darn good next year and I expect both teams to be undefeated for this one. Before our game, Oregon will face what should be an improved Boise State team (a team that is 3-0 against Oregon), Oregon State (the Civil War comes early this year, I hate that they moved that), UCLA, and Michigan State. So there is a possible loss in there, but I hope not so we have two top 10 undefeated teams in what should be the game of the week.

Took a trip to Portland when daughter was recruited to a college up there. Wife and I spent the day sipping Pinot Noir in the Williamette Valley as she got the low-down on the school. Was grasping for Tillamook name, thanks RB. Don't know who's going to handle the reins on O offense, but believe it's a high-grade transfer. From what I read, Oregon is a stealth player in B10 upcoming year. Projected as #1,2,3 depending which missive one reads. Yeah, the Nike money talks, and they've sucked in some good talent, recruiting or portalwise. Pretty certain both will be undefeated when we/you get up there, and compared to the 'golden hills of California', the confiers will be green and beautiful. Hopefully TBDBITL will be up there to show them how we do it in the B10, and then the football team punctuates the visit with a W. About time to start ordering yearly mags, Lindy's or Athalon (favor Lindy's), as portal has quieted down, and there's a semblance of normalacy to write about. Am betting Oregon at least top 7, maybe higher, but we'll see. Still noodling out whether to go or not. Better get your hotel/motel room lined up, not certain that town is ready for the influx of Buckeye faithful. Know you'll enjoy. Go Bucks!

I locked up an Air BnB in Springfield right outside of Eugene for a good price, might still be some decent options out that way and its a quick Uber into Eugene. I'm guessing it will be a later game, so I am planning on getting to Eugene early to try and avoid game day traffic to the extent possible. There's plenty of spots around the stadium and on campus to hang out before the game.

Going to be a tough game on the road, hoping the Buck fans show up in full force for this one. This matchup is the part that excites me about the conference expansion. I hate it and love it in a weird way, but matchups against Oregon and USC in coming years is fun to look forward to.
