Deion Sanders says schools reached out a 'couple of times' about coaching jobs after debut season at Colorado​

Colorado's head coach fielded a few calls during a wild coaching carousel this offseason.​

“Couple of times, couple of times,” Sanders said Tuesday, via Undisputed. “But I’m happy where I am. As you see, if I’m out there home shopping with my kids, that means I don’t plan on going anywhere. I got a kickstand down. I love this fan base. I love looking out the window right now, these snow covered mountains, I’ve been snowmobiling the last two weekends … I mean, loving life right now. My kids are snowboarding, Shilo, Shedeur, I’m telling him to take it easy … So we’re doing things that we would have never fathomed, man, and I'm happy about it. I love me some Colorado.”

Sanders has been busy at work plugging various holes on his roster with transfer portal additions, not to mention the welcoming of five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton as the crown jewel of his 2024 signing class. Colorado currently has 24 transfer commits this cycle and ranks No. 5 overall with its portal haul.

"I can honestly say we fulfilled all the needs," Sanders said. "We fulfilled the need on the offensive line. You're probably going to see a whole new offensive line. You are probably going to see a new defensive line. We had some good safety play. We got to step it up with the linebackers. We're still going to go out and maybe get another one or two linebackers to give us some depth."

"We've pretty much stepped up every level inside this building. I'm happy and pleased. When I go downstairs and I work out with the guys, I love what I see. I love the competitive nature. I love the leadership that is being taken at every position."

I kind of like where you're going with that Steve, but I'm not sure you went far enough.

You seem to be comparing those teams to the top of the NY Yankee's batting order in the 1920s, which was dubbed "Murderer's Row" by some sports writer that was famous but whose name now only @BB73 remembers.

I see that you downgraded it from "Murderer's Row" to "Mugger's Row"...

Are you sure it's not more like "Jaywalker's Row"?
