WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

FWIW, spoke with a non-osu PA insider* (not bob), and he said Terrell is headed to OSU, but waiting to announce at the AA game.

It should be noted this source usually put WVU right up there with OSU, when others said otherwise. To not mention them in passing was noteworthy as well.

Supporting what jwins has shared...

Rivals $

8/29

By Mike Farrell... Terrelle has set up official visits with tOSU for the Wisconsin game and says he will also visit WVU, possibly for the Pitt game on 12/1. Other visits will be tricky due to basketball. Pryor states that he isn't sure about his interest in PSU at this point.

TP also states that he was clocked at 4.32 in the 40 this summer... :yow1:

was that the hand time the coach was talking about in the previous article... even still if thats the case it can't be slower than 4.4 electronic. Would love to have TP, especially with the comment I heard from him in one of the interviews. It was in reference to being compared to VY, and his comment was something like- I don't really try to think about that, I wan't to be the first Terrelle Pryor.

That's the attitude I like

I'd have to say the last "Super Highly Anticipated" recruit was probably Mo Reece... maybe Chris Wells. But I'd put Pryor on the Randy Moss or Greg Oden level. Selling jerseys before he even gets here.

Might I also point out that JWin posts this in Terrelle's thread and not in the rumor thread.

Guys, not to be a negative Nancy here, but I am a little worried. Lets face it, we have a big chance at having an iffy season, and also have the possibility of have a dull offense. While West Virginia right now is set up to have a great season, and will be an incredibly flashy team that will have sport center plays left and right, WVU QB doesn't have to do anything complex and can rely on his athletic ability.

We really need WVU to lose at least 2 games imo, or we need to have a great season.

Yep, that's pretty negative. I think we have the tools to be a great offense this year. WV could have a great season as well, but it's obvious that he's ours to lose.

I really don't think that performance in the current season have that much of an impact on a recruit's decision. I really think performance during a recruit's Jr. year really help to form the opinions - by the time the Sr. year rolls around, minds are made up.

That said, I think we have a relatively successful year. Considering our losses, I think this year will go down as "re-load" vs "re-build" by the time it's all said and done.

It would seem to me that someone as highly recruited as Pryor realizes that how well a team is doing right now, does not necessarily indicate how they will be doing a couple years in the future. Also, it sounds like playing basketball is very important to him, and he should be able to tell from the stellar recruiting classes Matta is putting together that our basketball team should be enjoying great success for the next few years.

Look back, not forward, the crops that come in are rarely affected by the current season.

More often than not recruit's perspectives are longer than the average fan - they were courted the prior season more so than the current one. 12-1, Heisman, BCS after BCS Bowl appearance. Basketball team rise to ascendancy - Big Ten Champs B2B, NCAA finals. Pryor knows we have a lot to offer -- and the Bucks will do well enough this year to continue the trend on both field and court.

Mediocre offense = earlier opportunity for Pryor to play, right? At least in his eyes, as a confident all-world talent?

OSU's offense was avg until Smith took over. If such a pitch is still needed, that would work imo.
