WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

I think I may be noticing something with TP's play.

He plays better on the road then at home. He appears to be more decisive and plays more aggressively when he is on the road for some reason.

We'll see what he does against Purdidn't this weekend, but if my premise holds true, he'll play a decent to good game.

It might have something to do with taking his mind off of making the right read/making the perfect play. When they ran the two minute drill yesterday he looked better than he did in the rest of the game that I saw (had to listen to the 2nd half on radio). When running the hurry up you don't have time to think and I think right now the more they stop Pryor from thinking the better they off they will be.

I've been putting together a statistical analysis with Terrelle Pryor vs Vince Young, and I'd be more than happy to post it here, just need some help from you guys.

Considering where Pryor is in his first 6 games of his second season starting, where do you think that most matches with VY's career? I'm thinking the last six games of his first year starting, since he had 2 years already under his belt before he started. Would love to see what fellow BP'ers think.

I think that Vince Young's stats have nothing to do with Pryors development, or lack there of. I really wish people would quit comparing Terrelle with Vince and Troy.

I really wish people would quit acting like Terrelle won't be a bad motherfucker one day because he's struggling as a true sophmore playing the hardest god damned position in football.

But, you know what they say...wish and one hand and shit in the other...

Yes, but do you have faith in TP? I don't think JT is the issue with TP's inability to improve his decision making ability, among other things.
I do. He is a winner and a competitor. I believe he will hit a spot where it clicks and slows down for him, the coaching will sink in and there will be an 'ah hah' moment. Hope its this week.

Last year, TP had a stripped down playbook, two veteran WR's, and one of the top four RB's in the history of a school with, frankly, some of the baddest fucking RB's to ever play CFB. This year, he has the whole playbook, freshman and sophmore WR's...and as much as I love Boom and Zoom..they ain't no fucking Beanie Wells (yet).

If I feel like it, I'll go thru Troy's thread and copy/paste posts from 2004 and up to about...halfway thru 2005. It's the exact same shit. "He locks onto recievers, blah blah blah, He's not improving, blah blah blah, put in Zwick!!11!, blah fucking blah.

I just can't wait untill the game slows down for Terrelle and he starts fucking shit up. Believe I'll be here saying "I told you so".

He's right, I know because I was one of the guys who was hard on Smith at times. Watching Troy mature as a qb made me a more patient fan. I will do the same with Pryor, I advise others to do the same. He's going to be a good one. He needs his mojo back, and needs to quit worrying......

I was noticing the same thing you both did. When his team is ahead he plays "comfortable", when they are behind and/or need a score, he just goes out there and becomes a "baller."

Therefore I blame anything that TP does wrong on our Defense for being so stellar and keeping us ahead....

I think he had a trough start yesterday, but for any of the media to call our offense "bad", thats inaccurate. If TP went out there and made every throw, the media would spin it as Wisky being an totally inferior opponent on defense. We cant win the media battle either way.

Stop comparing him to Vince Young. Just because he is the same height and is fast doesn't mean he's going to be anywhere near what Young was at Texas.

I had a fellow Buckeye comment to me at the bar yesterday. "Why does Terrelle have that flippy thing on his wrist? i'm sure there is a lot of plays in there but from what I have seen our offense has about 6 plays we run" I tend to agree the staff has kind of limited what he can and can't do,and I think it is because the progression of his game has been a little slower than everyone expected. I too remember the growing pains we had with TS but I think he turned out ok :-) . I'm sure Terrelle is his own biggest critic. No one on this planet wants to make the fans and fellow Buckeye happier than TP does! All in all I think we have been spoiled somewhat with what the kid did last year as a TRUE FRESHMAN. Kinda like the Tiger Woods syndrome....He has won 6 times this year (after coming back from re-constructive ACL surgery) but has no majors so people tend to think he has lost it!! TP set the bar high as a True Frosh...and it's going to take a special player to live up to the hype, and honestly I feel he is doing just fine.
