WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

Thought I'd chime in. The coaching staff (at least when it comes to OSU coaches) bags a few schollies every year so deserving walk-ons and guys who have been part of the program for a few years get rewarded for their hard work. But when it comes to top-notch recruits, if the Bucks are still in the mix for such recruits as Pryor, Floyd, J.J. or Hale @ the end of the recruiting season, the coaches will make room for them.

Any thoughts on how the decisions of Lamaar Thomas, and other recruits on the fence, could affect Pryor's decision?

I would think it would make him more excited at the prospect of playing for tOSU if he would have other great recruits to play with, but maybe in his case its really about systems and setting himself up for the NFL.

Just watched an interview on Fox Sports Pittsburgh. Pryor and his coach. When asked what teams his final 6 included his reply was,

"Ohio State................................... ummmmmm....................................... West Virginia, Florida, Tennesee, Texas and Penn State."

Said he would announce on signing day.

With a delay like that, I think he just did. I have yet to see an interview where tOSU wasn't the first thing out of his mouth when asked this question.

In recruiting, the one thing you always hope for when recruiting a big time QB like Terrelle is for them to commit early and act as a cornerstone for your class that will attract other big time players (skill positions) to them.

This class is very odd in that our cornerstones are the big hog mollies up front who are attracting all the skill position players to them. Also add in the fact that while Terrelle is not listed anywhere as a commit for OSU (and i am not saying he has secretly committed), you hear about him talking with other OSU targets ALL the time. Terrelle has mentioned kids like L Thomas and M Floyd on numerous occasions. While it has not been said publicly (at least not to my knowledge), i am sure those kids whom Pryor regularly speaks know where his likely destinitation is...and it makes me smile.

Just some random observations...
