Camp circuit and Sparq numbers aren't up there with the 5stars. But I could care less, knowing who his dad is, this kid will be damn good. Keep his head down, grind, get open, run good routes and make plays.

Speaking on CBS Sports HQ’s Signing Day Show, 247Sports director of scouting Barton Simmons gave a scouting report for the new Buckeyes weapon. He says the Scarlet and Gray could have a good one.
“Marvin Harrison Jr. has got good size and really is an understated athlete early in the process,” Simmons said. “He’s so polished and so instinctive at the wide receiver position. Just like his father, you’re betting on him being a lot better than the pure, athletic traits would suggest.”
Harrison became the all-time leader Catholic League leader in career receiving yards earlier in his senior season, passing Houston Texans and former Notre Dame wide receiver Will Fuller, who played at Roman Catholic. He also set the record for touchdowns scored later in his season, as St. Joseph’s Prep won its third-consecutive state championship over Thanksgiving weekend.
“It’s a cool accomplishment,” Harrison Jr. told 247Sports' Ohio State affiliate Bucknuts when he broke the league’s receiving yards record. “Something that I never thought I’d get or even really thought much about. I knew there was a chance before the start of the season, but my only goal was to get our third straight state championship. We are in the state playoffs and have two games to complete that goal.”
Ohio State wide receivers coach Brian Hartline was Harrison Jr.’s primary recruiter. FOX Sports analyst Brady Quinn joined the 247Sports National Signing Day Show and had high praise for Hartline when asked about how big of a role he’s played as a recruiter for the program.
“He's a huge reason why,” Quinn said. “Brian Hartline is one of the hardest workers. He’s able to recruit that position. Because if you look at what he was as an NFL wide receiver. He was a technician. He was good at route running. He understood coverages. He’s taking everything he was as a player and he’s pouring it into these young men. He’s one of the hardest workers I’ve been around playing with him in 2014. … it’s a genuine sell, much like Larry Johnson, and that’s why they’ve been so talented.”

It’s never a shock to see the Ohio State Buckeyes land one of the nation’s most notable players, but the commitment of four-star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., the son of NFL legend Marvin Harrison, sets some rather lofty expectations before he’s even stepped on campus. But on the All-American Bowl Declaration Day show, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day explained that he is going to tell Harrison to not worry about those outside expectations.
“Any time someone comes to Ohio State that comes with a certain level of expectations, the thing I always say to recruits and their families when they get here is, ‘stop with the expectations.’ It’s not fair to the recruits,” Day said on the show. “It’s not fair to these young men to put all these expectations (on them). The only thing you can expect is that what you think is going to happen in your career, it won’t happen that way. Never does. Everyone has their own journey and different adversity comes along the way. Everyone’s story is different.”

“Some guys play right away. Some guys, it takes longer,” Day said. “But they’re going to learn a lot about themselves. All we can really expect them to do is work as hard as they can, do a great job in the classroom, do a great job off the field and as you come out of the program, you’re going to leave a man. The football’s going to take care of itself. We wouldn’t be recruiting you if you weren’t a great football player. But it’s all the other stuff that matters.”

TERRY MCLAURIN HELPED BRING MARVIN HARRISON JR. TO OHIO STATE, WHERE HARRISON WILL BRING A PROFESSIONAL TYPE OF PRESENCE TO THE BUCKEYES
Marvin Harrison Jr. is watching the Washington-Pittsburgh game on Monday Night Football, and there’s a familiar face racing across the screen during the Football Team’s upset win on Dec. 7.
A face and a voice that played a major role in Harrison’s decision to become a Buckeye nearly two years ago.
When Harrison made his first-ever visit to Columbus for the April 2019 spring game, he had what he called a “brief conversation” with Terry McLaurin as McLaurin was making a return visit to The Shoe just 13 days before he became Washington’s third-round draft pick.
The conversation didn’t last longer than a few minutes, but Harrison remembers it fondly as he watches McLaurin during the second-year receiver’s 87-catch, 1,118-yard season that left him just short of a Pro Bowl bid.
“I was still uncommitted at the time so he was just trying to pitch Ohio State and was talking about Coach Hartline and how great he was,” Harrison told Eleven Warriors in a recent interview. “It (helped). And then seeing him in the NFL and the success he’s had. I also got to talk to Mike Thomas. He’s one of my favorite receivers to watch, too. Him being an Ohio State alum and seeing what he’s done in the NFL (helped) as well.”
But in terms of former Buckeyes, it was McLaurin going to bat for Hartline that helped sway Harrison the most. Even during his days as a professional, McLaurin still credits his receivers coach during his senior season for developing him into a standout wideout.
“If there’s anyone who’s praised Coach Hartline the most during my time there, it was Terry,” Harrison said. “I could already tell he was a great coach, but talking to Terry briefly he loved Coach Hartline. They still keep in contact now. He definitely had a big impact, just during that brief conversation we had.
“He was telling me Coach Hartline was a great coach and talking about the route running and the contested catches he makes. Just watching him do that has been a little inspiring.”

When those two WRs are Olave and Wilson, I'm cool with it. I doubt Bama fans were complaining about Devonta Smith getting all of the targets

Last year was an anomaly for Bama WRs, they usually go 4-5 deep of WRs. I'd prefer not to rely on 2 WRs, we have too much talent being brought in for that.
