I don't think its really all that accurate unless you have some tech directly on the runner or a gun. A guy who runs a 4.4 forty yard dash says it's only 18.6 mph. That's easily sub 4 second 40's just based on MPH. I think if you can get a 100m translation it would be more accurate but there are certainly better people than me here who could do that.Give me some context. How fast was Ginn?
I‘m sure the 20.67 is the average speed for a 9.9 second 100 meters, from starting blocks, so the top speed is much faster.I don't think its really all that accurate unless you have some tech directly on the runner or a gun. Ted Ginn, FMIP (Fastest Man In Pads). My guess is in a 60 yard dash he'd hit 24mph if not faster. Tyreek Hill too
Edit: the 100 meter conversion says 9.9 seconds 100 yards is 20.67 mph. Thats only WR speed though, lol. Methinks this MPH thing is a bit inflated. Otherwise, JJ should have just rocked the world with his 8.89 100.
Yes I know meters/yards not the same.
See I knew there was someone better to do this.I‘m sure the 20.67 is the average speed for a 9.9 second 100 meters, from starting blocks, so the top speed is much faster.
Usain Bolt’s top speed was 27.33 mph, and his world record 100 meter time (9.58 seconds) averaged 23.35 mph.
Using Bolt’s ratio of top speed to average speed, a 9.9 100-meter runner would have a top speed of 24.19 mph, which is about what you estimated.
And it is warranted, JJ Smith is the best WR prospect I have ever seen and I would say that even if he didn't land here. He puts in the work in every single category and also is naturally gifted beyond belief...hard not to compare him to MH Jr. in that regard. We are going to be in for a treat here.Hartline saying "there's nothing he doesn't do well." Wow. Most hype for a true freshman since Katzenmoyer
Yeah, from everything you here, he is a combination of gifts and work ethic, which is when you get something specialAnd it is warranted, JJ Smith is the best WR prospect I have ever seen and I would say that even if he didn't land here. He should be much better with media by the time he leaves for the NFL
