WR Jeremiah Smith (All B1G, B1G Frosh/WR of Year, All-American, 2025 Rose Bowl Off MVP, National Champion)

Sere's list echo's what was afraid of. Every announcer has proclaimed Jeremiah the best receiver in the game (at least on the Buckeye games have watched), but they also acknowledge that teams are going out of their way to 'make sure Jeremiah doesn't beat them' with double coverage as a minimum (and up to 5!). Wish he'd get points for being a decoy, as it has freed up Carnell for a marvelous year so far. Guess we'll know when teams put out a D of 3-8 to stop the plethora of receivers in tOSU's stable. Go Bucks!

Looking for one of the kids to have a break-through, maybe Porter or Graham. Seems to happen every second half of the season - Olave, Wilson, Smith-Enjegba, Harrison, Innis, Tate, Smith. Smith is kind of the exception, breaking through early last season.

Maybe when one of the younger receivers blows open a game, or Innis gets hot, teams will have to take 1 or 2 DBs off of Smith.

In the last game, believe that Graham, and Porter got some minutes. And, on both out routes, they seamlessly caught the ball, got one (or more) foot/feet in bounds, for the first down. Thought to myself, that here comes the next wave. If you had switched the numbers, could have belived it was Tate or Jeremiah doing the catching. The future looks bright. Go Bucks!

Obviously above 'poll' wasn't including tOSU fans, no? On the other hand, sure, the announcers always mention Jeremiah as the 'best receiver in football', and Sayin finds him for some very important first downs, but there haven't been any of the spine-tingling tosses of 40+ yards for TDs this year. Certainly, I get that he's being covered by the opfor's DB1 & DB3, each and every play. What I guess I'm stumbling (badly) to say is that am hopeful that the next team up will be torched by Jeremiah, instead of Carnell. If nothing more than to remind viewers/talking heads, who's the real star WR on the Buckeyes. Got upset last night when clicked on a story that Jeremiah was putting his name in the portal, not for NIL reasons, but for 'lack of respect' reasons. I know, I know. When told wifey, she just looked down her nose at me, and said it was fake news......but still swallowed hard. Would absolutely love to see the receiver award, the best defensive award, Thorpe award, center award, TE award all accrete to the Buckeyes.

Maybe a slight addition to the above. Believe Innis will slide into the place Tate leaves, when he continues the first rounder streak. Not saying that Graham and Porter won't surpass him, but will still have Jeremiah out there, as well, who will certainly attract more/better coverage. And, don't discount having a seasoned Sayin, who'll be looking to make a splash for the upcoming NFL draft. Not certain how he can do better next year than this, except maybe growing another 2".
