WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba (2022 Rose Bowl MVP, Seattle Seahawks)

Would he help? What did he do in last year’s bowl game?

And I get the sarcasm here…

I feel like he was mostly playing a decoy upon his return this season.

I think he will actually be impactful in playoff with all this rest. The issue prior, is you can’t work the timing and gameplan with him.

He now has an entire month to get back into swing of it. This is huge……I really think JSN is back and healthy. Might be rusty for game play but he will be back, IMO

By my calculations he should be about 100% by next week but will need to get stronger and back in game shape which he would have plenty of time to do that.
No way he had a complete tear so Grade 2 would be the worst it was originally. Even coming back a little too soon like he did next week should have been plenty of time to get it healed up. All really depends on his desire to play in a playoff or not. Something tells me if he's anywhere close, he'll suit up.

You're probably right, however, we did just see a QB "pop his hamstring" look horrible running, and stayed in the game vs Utah. Another month to rehab and strengthen it? Interesting anyway
the QB who "popped his hamstring", manicured nails notwithstanding, didn't need to be ripping up and down the field once every 45 seconds for 50+ snaps at 15 miles an hour.

his last actual snap was how many months ago?

he hasn't been "resting"? or was he running up and down the sideline during games all year just because he was trying to stay game-ready?

asking for my sarcastic friend...

Yes I do.
On top of how many already?

That's my point... the last snap he played was what, Iowa?

That's what, 5 weeks ago?

An additional 4 weeks will not cure him of whatever the problem is. Especially after missing arguably the single most important game of the season and his career.

We'll see... I hope he plays, because he's a difference maker - or at least he was, last year. I hope he plays like no receiver has ever played in the history of the NCAA. I hope every catch he makes is for a touchdown. I think the kid deserves it.

Does he deserve more than MHJ or EE... I'm not sure.

But... what my head keeps coming back to is this: if he wasn't ready last week, with EVERYTHING on the line, after 5+ weeks of rest, he's likely not going to be ready after an additional 4 weeks. Unless what's going on with him isn't just a "tweaked" (or whatever Day called it) hamstring.
