WR Jameson Williams (transfer to Alabama, Detroit Lions)

trending up for one MO WR, trending down for the other. I think we will be getting a verbal from the more explosive of the 2, was hoping for them both. Call me greedy. Wonder how and/or if recent Zach Smith news has changed the feelings of any of the '19 or '20 WR recruits?

Williams has long been associated with Ohio State due to their diligent work in his recruitment. The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions has Ohio State well above the rest of the pack, with 94 percent of the 17 predictions.

I’m sure Jameson would enjoy seeing the way our “new” offense is run, up close. Idk at this point how a rotation of WRs wouldn’t be enticing to young HS WRs, and also having a competent QB who can move the pocket behind Haskins as well. Jameson would be a perfect complement to a DT QB when plays break down

THE HURRY UP: 2020 TACKLE ZAK ZINTER DISCUSSES OHIO STATE OFFER AND A TOP 2019 TARGET CANCELS ONE OFFICIAL VISIT

At 6-foot-2, 169 pounds, the Cardinal Ritter College Prep (Mo.) has received offers from Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, Florida State and UCLA among others. As a junior, Williams caught 36 passes for 1,062 yards – an average of 29.5 yards per catch – alongside 19 touchdowns.

This fall, he's led his team to a 5-0 start on an offense that's averaging 39 points per game. Two of those wins have come by 82-0 and 61-35 scores.

Williams' cancellation of his Oregon visit comes before scheduled visits to Nebraska on Sept. 29 and Alabama on Oct. 13. Still, crystal ball predictions sway in the Buckeyes' favor, showing a 94 percent lean towards Ohio State. The trip to Tuscaloosa remains one to keep a very close eye on, however.
