Gamble was so close, if he'd stayed one more year, he might have crossed the literacy goal line.
 
Complaining about not finishing when you score a 9 strikes me as like complaining about a "questionable" interference call when you were "supposed" to win by 20+.

Just for context, Lee Evans scored a 27. Maybe if Gamble had been smart enough to break into double digits on the Wonderlic, he wouldn't have bitten on Evans' out and up at Wisconsin.
