My wife and i talked about this last night with some friends last night:

If your house caught on fire and you could only save your spouse or children what would you choose?


I would save my child, she has her whole life in front of her. I know its clich?, but your child will always be your child, spouses aren't 100%.

The friends that were over have older children - teenagers and they said that they would save each other (spouse) because the teenagers have a better chance of saving themselves.

Tough question. If your wife is fat, it would probably be smarter to try and save the child since lifting a gastropod out of the house would be difficult.

I have much more insurance on the wife than I do the kids, So I save the kids.
