What the heck is going on ??

I aim to misbehave
If you would have told me a couple weeks ago that the Bucks and Meatchicken would both be 0 for 5 in league play i would have refered you to a shrink!

I know its early, but i am very concerned...i had such high hopes for the boys.

I think if our bats wake up we can still make the Big 10 tourney....geez, i cant beleive how things have changed! It wasnt long ago that i was talking about us hosting a regional!

I could name a few things...

1. The week down in Florida was a waste. They played a bunch of cupcakes, went undefeated, and got their heads too big. They didn't prep themselves for the conference season.

2. Caravati, Howell, Bourquin. Possibly the three most potent bats in the lineup, all missed (or missing) a good deal of time with injury. Caravati and Howell are back in the lineup but still nowhere near last year.

3. Switching Howell and Caravati in the OF has been a huge bust thusfar. Howell is playing scared, very tentative, in left. He's misjudged a few balls that could've been outs had he played them right. One was an RBI double yesterday, one the winning hit against Oakland. Don't understand why they switched.

4. Todd has gotten lazy the last couple years in recruiting. He's focuses way too much on getting local Columbus players on his team. Don't get me wrong, some of them are nice players, but there's no way Columbus metro produces that many players capapble of playing at a school like OSU. Meanwhile he's missed out on a few studs who I know were just begging to come to OSU, but got little or no interest, and are playing great elsewhere.

5. Some of it is just bad luck. We can't put any hits together in a row, leave a lot on base, and we're really not catching any breaks. All it takes is a hit or two in the right time and we win these games.

Anybody else going to the DH today?
