What games this year worry you the most?

ditto...hopefully troy can surpass craig and notch that 3rd win vs UM. I'd love a bcs or nc win, but beating UM is crucial.

IF their OL gels, this will be the best UM team since the '03 loss.

Along with the big three (Texas, Michigan, and Iowa) Penn State worries me slightly just because it's the first game of the Big Ten season, but hopefully it will turn into a good ol' fasioned revenge ass kicking (ala Iowa). It will be the first game I'm going to this year, I hope the stadium is rocking (I'll do my part), we owe them.

If we manage to get past week five unscathed it should be smooth sailing to a classic showdown with Michigan in the Shoe (which I will also be attending  ) with title hopes on the line, just like it should be.

Home field advantage seems to count for a lot in the OSU/PSU series, which is why I was worried about last year's game, and not so much about this year's. At Sparty is more of a concern, in my opinion.

Texas is obviously the biggest speed bump in our season. Our biggest trap game isn't Iowa, but Michigan State. They always play us tough and with easily four other games that are "bigger" on the schedule, MSU is a trap game in east Lansing.

Agreed about Texas, Iowa, scUM and Sparty. JL Smith is feeling the pressure to win and that game is fairly early in the year, Oct. 14; so they likely will not have packed it in for the year at that point.

See Im not worried about Penn state this year. IMO the reason we lost last year was our O-line fell apart(inj. caused us to move everything around and get all messed up) Without there Number 1 D-linemen that should help us out, also the fact that Troy is learning the Offensive line more. No to mention our guys got really confused, so being at home will help us a ton. So that game I see us winning.

Mich. State is also one of those games that worry me. (Where do we play that at?) They are a team that can beat anyone at any givin time. If I remember corectly, we could have easily lost that game. At the end of the 1st half there coaching staff completly messed up, then we got that punt return. Had that not happened it would have been a differnt game.

Sheesh, are you on crack? scooter1369 already said above that the MSU game is at East Lansing. And it was a blocked FG return, and not a punt return, for the TD on the final play of the first half.

For the love of God, try using spell checker for a change...

Back to the thread question:
  1. At Texas
  2. At Michigan State
We should be able to handle Iowa at their place after the ass-blasting we gave Tate last year. The other two road games (at Illinois and at Northwestern) shouldn't be problems.

I'm not worried about any of our home games.

I agree with you, although--believe it or not--Texas is the lesser of the two.

Michigan State definitely should be on the radar.

1. Michigan - does it matter who's the better team?

2. Texas - If there's one game we can "afford" to lose, it's this game. However, I still think its a must-win for a few reasons. 1) Confidence boost; going into Iowa at night won't be a huge deal after a win over Texas in their place. 2) Even the series; having to put 0-2 in the record books against Texas would piss me off. 3) And of course, whoever wins this game will almost certainly get the #1 ranking.

3. Iowa - If we do lose to Texas, and our defense hasn't come together at this point, this game could be tough. If it comes down to who can put up more points, then I'm confident we can pull it out, but definitely not the way I'd like to see the game played (2005 Minnesota anyone?).

PSU doesn't worry me too much cause its at home, and revenge is best served in the 'Shoe. MSU...well...last I checked John L. Smith is their coach so I'm sure they'll be underachieving by the time we play them.

I agree Michigan State always plays us tough. Michigan State has had a history of folding late in the season; and unfortunately, we play them on 14 Oct (early in the Big 10 schedule). We get them in East Lansing the week after they play Michigan in Ann Arbor. If Michigan beats them, they are sure to be "pissed off" when they play us. Also, Stanton is a very good quarterback; probably the second best (behind Troy) in the Big 10.
