What do you use to shave?

This is the mind-numbing thread of the week for this week.

I prefer staright razors b/c electrical ones make my face all bumpy.

Same here... I use the Mach 3 Turbo razors with Ultra Sensitive shave gel. If I use anything else my neck breaks out really bad.

I use the Mach 3 Turbo as well but just use Gillette shaving cream.

Never did like the gel that much when I used it. I used to use Edge shave gel.

I have both. I usually shave with a Shick Extreme 3 (I think) in the shower because I can't stand shaving with shaving cream after I've taken a shower because it's too messy. I also have a Braun Syncro that I use away from home or if I can't take a shower at the time. The electric does a better job on some areas of my face. I usually only have to shave a couple times a week since I'm still waiting for puberty to hit.

Electric Razors just can't compete (or get the crook of my neck smooth). The mach 3 (the pulsating one) is pretty incredible. Sure seemed like a gimmick at the time, but that pulsating thing really works.

Winslow... you're thinking of the Mach 3 Power. The Turbo just has the extra conditioning strip and the special blade coating.

Mach 3 Power for me too. Looks like the Gillette M3 is making a clean sweep on Buckeye Planet.

I tried the Schick Quattro once, got one free in the mail as a promo, and it sucks ass. It was the most agonizingly painful shaving experience I'd ever had.

yeah I meant the mach3 power... the other ones are pretty good too tho.

As for the gilette one, the more strips they add, the more money they will have spent on research/development/marketing and ultimately production (5 strips has to cost a little more than 3)... only pushing the prices even higher.

I did use to do the electric to get the hair down, then straight to clean it off, but I broke my fuckin electric razor.

That's my favorite razor and I don't use shaving cream. Doesn't pull for me at all and I use it everywhere.
