"The Mission Song" - John LeCarre

Part of a continuing departure from LeCarre's more-traditional espionage fiction (and perhaps part of an "African concern" suite along with The Constant Gardener), this one's about a mixed-race African linguist acting as interpreter for a planned coup in East Congo. I'm about halfway in, but I can tell we're headed for a crisis of conscience similar to his next book A Most Wanted Man.
