Watch the Buckeyes play, do business with the devil?

A friend just alerted me to the fact that ESPiN is showing at least two Ohio State games on the Internet. I looked and it is true. Access costs $99 for the season and the first and third games of the season, at least, are shown.

I don't know what to do. I know that you guys stateside have no problem with watching the game on ESPiN, but it somehow seems wrong to pay them anything for anything. On the other hand, I want to see the Buckeyes really badly.

The special price ends on 2 September.

So, what should I do guys?

Fuck ESPiN. But if I were you, it would not be a choice. If you're not in an area where you can see the Bucks without this deal, then you do it. I do know that almost all cable companies and satelite companies are now offering some type of "Game Plan" deal, where they will give you every available college football game all season long for one price. In Cbus, it costs $99, at least if you order it now.

This is really not that much different that watching ESPN on cable and supporting their sponsors and making their numbers grow. I wish I had a choice, but they own the games.

Go with the CSTV gig. It's linked off of www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com and as iamhomo said, its pretty cheap. I won't need it for the first month (ABC, I'll be there, wedding, I'll be there), but I'll consider it for Oct and Nov if our cable service leaves me no choice.

I used them for the ncaa tourney and couldn't be happier with it.

I subcribed to ESPN GamePlan last week. At least I saved a few bucks by ordering early, the season is $99 vs. $119 after 9/1.

Out here, we only get shitty Big XII games on local stations, so I didn't even hesitate to get GamePlan.

Dude, what is more important...watching Ohio State play or making a "statement" about a sleazy network? I just got GamePlan, and while I'm watching the games I won't even think about the fact it's an ESPN commodity.

Get the plan and watch the Bucks.

OK. I did it. Although I have an awful sense of dread and suspect that the two Buckeye games on their front page will be the only Buckeye games they show, I am gonna watch the Buckeyes. I have to admit, just saying that almost brings me to tears. Go ahead Thump, let it rip!:!
