DE Jaylahn (JT) Tuimoloau (Owner, Giant Erector Set, All B1G)

Bill "Bank" Green wrote this AM that Tuimoloau is in his opinion better suited at DE in spite of being a 275#er. Says Adeleye and JT could possibly see a position switch if they both end up Buckeyes.

Could be. I am of the opinion that JT and Adeleye are the two best DL prospects on our board, and just want them in this class so we can figure it out later. Watched both their films and think either could end up a big DE or 3-tech DT. Either way, they are both supremely talented and I just want them in Columbus so LJ Sr. can mold them.

Yeah, a lot of guys change body-types once their bodies develop and Coach Mick molds them. Plus, they will change their body comp based off position of need and where they can get on the field the fastest. Either way, I agree. A nice blank canvas to work with for these two uber-talented recruits. Hope we land 1 or both.

AND they change their body type for the best and quickest way to playing time. Coach LJ does something I've never seen, using the 'Rushman' package, he puts four DEs on the Dline…...trusting in their outside speed/twitch/technique to out quick the Oline they're up against. If that's not a selling point to the recruits for flexibility, minutes, opportunity for sacks, I don't know what is....Certainly not certain that other schools do or do not use this technique, but it has been successful for tOSU, and in line recruiting. Can LJ go until he's 80? Go Bucks!

Mucho current "insider info" that is conflicting here (does that surprise anyone?). Bill Greene has it OSU leads with USC stlii in it. USC insider Martinez has it USC and UW in a battle with no mention of OSU. And guru Huffman has it OSU and UW top two. Can't make this stuff up...or can you? My admittedly uneducated guess is none of these guys have actually talked to the sphinxlike Tuimoloau lately because self-promotion is very low on his list of priorities...which makes him my favorite '21 recruit. Keep 'em guessing, J.T.
