I mean as a DL person.. neither DL was OMG great in that game... Baremore (sp?) had a good game and was disruptive at times but he wasn’t OMG...

I think its been said before recruiting is about relationships...


Not sure what game you were watching. Barremore was about as OMG as it gets. He was constantly getting push, disruptive in the run game as well as not allowing Fields to set his feet in the pocket to deliver accurate throws. Fields had a few easy dump offs and sailed balls that he missed on that Barremore was directly responsible for.

Every great recruit in america came to watch The Game 06. They landed pretty much no one.

Then OSU got smoked by UF, LSU & Texas (bowl), and it led to the Brew Crew.

Not only are single outcomes rarely influential, this is the lowest key recruit I've ever seen and the least likely to be swayed by flash.

Jim Tressel's absolute worst recruiting class came after his 2002 NC season. 2nd year new HC wins a national title over, arguably, the greatest college football team of all time, and the 2003 class was a disaster. Go figure.
