Hey, it looks like he is all smiles; hopefully he did actually enjoy "the welcome party" at the airport.

I know that it's a different era, but I don't remember the JT staff showing up at the airport for Pryor or Urban ever doing anything like this. But again different times and do what you got to for JTT, I guess.

Terrelle didn’t fly into OSU. He drove. And believe me, they had a platoon of staff members meet him at the door when he arrived. Urban drove in a blizzard with two other coaches to recruit Donovan Peoples-Jones.

I think it’s weird that fans are questioning the staff for going all out for a recruit they want.

Wait....people are questioning the coaches? I'd be concerned if they didn't meet him at the airport. It's the doucher media people following him around that's creepy.

I honestly just don't get the over the topness of JTT's arrival. He's not the first 5star we've ever gotten or that has even come through college. And how many top/elite DL won NCs solely themselves? This just seems creepy today and I didn't think OSU would be that type of program for any kid. We don't get JTT i can still see us winning an NC. But hey, my point is moot if we land him. But my God, showing up at the airport and a site streaming a teenagers arrival...

When has a player of his level been torn between programs and enrolling within a month during a time the coaching staff doesnt have to worry about game planning? I'd be upset if the coaches didnt pull out all the stops. Not your typical recruitment.

My bad, I figured I'd get a lot push back from my comments. I just think it's weird, no matter how highly rated. I can name 20 guys with at least a .99 rating who never won an NC and barely won a conference championship. But I hope we get him.
And I would agree. This is definitely not a typical recruitment

I mean we are all welcome to our viewpoints. Just on the opposite side with this one is all. Nor do I think coaches in Columbus showing up to the airport is all that over the top. Its unique, but its something most of us would do for family in town if we werent busy with work

I have showed up to the airport to land a really big client. It worked. JT is a really big recruit, I mean REALLY big. Hopefully this works. In any event, I don't find anything weird at all and as @BuckWrestler141 said, I would honestly be upset if we don't pull off every stop to get him (short of "bagmen" that JT will see in Bama). No idea if we in fact do land JT but if we don't, I don't think it will be because the staff showed up at the airport.

I totally get why people consider media at the airport for a HS recruit to be creepy…but how could you not be interested in watching it thru that coverage? I’m glad I got to see it. It’s an inside look into their approach in landing a historically talented recruit who has unintentionally thrust himself into the spotlight. When people lay low and avoid media, it adds a degree of mystery that only results in the public wanting more.

I have no interest in seeing the off the field lives of high schoolers who I don't know. Him being able to tackle well doesn't change that his private life should be private.

I understand the interest. It just feels kinda gross for me. Although I am also finding it hard to differentiate this from the pics of kids showing up to the hotel for the first day of camp.

I think the weirdest part for me, moreso than the coaches is the livestream from Buckeye Scoop and Buckeye Grove. I honestly don't have as big of a problem with the coaches as I do with grown men who follow recruiting, streaming a teenager coming in from a flight. People complain about social media and it being so obtrusive, and then examples like this come out. Are they going to live stream his dinner, maybe when he goes to his hotel? I kid, but is that a possibility?

But I don't want to hijack his thread, this should be a happy time as JTT can finally visit. I won't respond anymore to my personal opinion. I'll just keep it about his talent and my wish for him to become a Buckeye

I’ll be on the list of people that think it’s creepy as hell to watch a recruit walk through an airport. I’m guilty on this I guess and I never want to be found not guilty. Maybe most of us don’t deserve to see what it’s like cause we aren’t the recruits or the coaches. On campus, sure show the videos. But this is creepy and cringeworthy and all of the bad words that come with recruiting
