When I saw someone note an arrival time I almost made a joke about "please don't be that guy who's greeting a recruit at the airport" but then figured no one would actually do it.

It's rare that I underestimate the sickness of the human race but this is one of those times.

I honestly just don't get the over the topness of JTT's arrival. He's not the first 5star we've ever gotten or that has even come through college. And how many top/elite DL won NCs solely themselves? This just seems creepy today and I didn't think OSU would be that type of program for any kid. We don't get JTT i can still see us winning an NC. But hey, my point is moot if we land him. But my God, showing up at the airport and a site streaming a teenagers arrival...

I think the only reason it's gotten to this point is because he delayed his decision through peak non-news offseason

Some recruits would love the attention; however, the way JTT and his family have kept his recruitment "under wraps", I don't think he is one of those recruits.

I fully agree. And my point still stands that it still feels... creepy and/or weird

Which makes this spectacle all the more weird.

And hey, I know some won't agree with my view. And I'm all for player empowerment and emphasizing how important they are to the game. But showing up at the airport and live streaming just seems like something that UW or even scUM would do. I mean we have LJsr for Christ sakes. His name should speak for itself. His list of first rounders, All Americans, All Pros, ROYs, and drafted players along with his famous techniques speaks even louder.

But hope he enjoys his visit and becomes a Buckeye

I know that it's a different era, but I don't remember the JT staff showing up at the airport for Pryor or Urban ever doing anything like this. But again different times and do what you got to for JTT, I guess.
