I am honestly not sure why we stopped recruiting Leigh in the first place? Because he and Latham both project at LT? So did Isaiah Prince coming out of HS, but he never played a down at LT iirc.

I think the more likely scenario is that Ohio State coaches and commits felt that Latham was the guy who was most likely going to end up in the class and most eyes (especially the people who write articles and generate the perception of priorities) were focused on him - and then Latham spent three months on lockdown in a house with his Bama-loving mom and now Leigh feels like the more realistic option, so here we are.
The coaches are clearly still going to continue recruiting Latham moving forward and I don’t think ranking the options at tackle really applies in this situation as they are both clearly top options.

I think it's important to remember that most of the news you hear in recruiting is driven by the recruits giving interviews, which can skew perception about staff priorities. We aren't getting the coaches POV, so it's all reading tea leaves based on what the recruits are saying.

Ohio State isn’t out of Tristan Leigh sweepstakes
He’s been laying low for a while now, but there’s been some definite smoke of late when it comes to the recruitment of Tristan Leigh. The country’s No. 3-ranked offensive tackle prospect had long been considered a Clemson lean, but there’s been a stirring of momentum in the direction of both LSU and Ohio State. There’s no plan for a decision and the Buckeyes are hoping that Leigh’s willingness to delay until official visits can happen will keep them in the game as they keep growing the relationship.

1 LSU with a slight lead
2.Oklahoma just moved up a couple spots due to Caleb Williams commitment. Their parents are apparently buds.
3.Ohio State ...same old mantra, need to get a visit.
4.Clemson...doesn't seem to be recruiting him as intensely as before.
5.Bama...will need to get a visit as well, but he is very curious about the program.
