Anyone see this movie? The plot looks interesting, and it is a pretty weak lineup in the theaters these days.

Set against the futuristic landscape of totalitarian Britain, the story of a mild-mannered young woman named Evey who is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked vigilante known only as "V." Incomparably charismatic and ferociously skilled in the art of combat and deception, V urges his fellow citizens to rise up against tyranny and oppression. As Evey uncovers the truth about V's mysterious background, she also discovers the truth about herself -- and emerges as his unlikely ally in the culmination of his plot to bring freedom and justice back to a society fraught with cruelty and corruption.

I saw it.
Decent movie, entertaining. By no means spectacular.
Seemed like it was meant to have some political commentary but in the end pulled in about as much political comentary as Flash Gordon. It tries to be deep but turns into a puddle.

Even the bad guys in Flash Gordon and V look alike

Very cool movie. Natalie Portman's performance was pretty decent. Some conservative folks might get irritated by the movie, but who cares? Anyone angry about this are as lame and stupid as the wacko lefties who were upset about the "Christian" messages in The Chronicles of Narnia.

Saw the movie today. Out-fucking-standing! Quality action. Quality acting. Quality storyline. Definitely had a 1984 feel to it, and is now making me re-read that book.

I think that I've given Portman too much grief for Star Wars, especially after seeing some of her other movies, along with this one. Agent Smith does a very good job as V. I also found it kind of funny that the hero from "1984" was played by the same actor as the Hitleresque guy in "V For Vendetta". Weird.
