It's been a while, but I don't recall Clarett having major character issues in high school.
Without going back in my DeLorean, I agree. I recall MoC being a relatively well read and intellectually curious freshman who had a strong football work ethic and a willingness to call out those older than him for loafing. It wasn't until his success went to his head that the problems started. Life came at Maurice a little too fast, but he wasn't a bad apple from the start by any stretch.

That's not to suggest Evans is a bad apple. Just saying that MoC wasn't either.

If true...The fact that Day is giving Hartline the responsibility may say something about his confidence in Alford, also it tells me that he is not as confident in the stable of rbs as once led to believe

Yeah thought the same... not as much about what we currently have but definitely in how Day might view Alford.

Could also be since its a huge long shot send in your best while the RB guy is concentrating on 2021 class... if this was mid cycle i would be concerned.. given that its the end of the cycle and well why jeopardize 2021 by pulling Alford off them to take a moon shot?

Still tho... you have to think Alford isn't looking too favorable to Day. He basically struck out on who Day wanted and now he's tapping his arm to bring in Hart.

Not a good look and to be honest I don't blame Ryan. Alford is the weak link in the recruiting aspect of the staff. Especially when you consider what we should have as an easy sell.

what’s more important ot the program long term... 2020 5* back that the chances wouldn’t even be on the board in vegas, or multiple 2021 backs ... sometimes awesome recruiters can’t overcome things.. Remember Antuawn Jackson the first recruitment.. LJSr swung and missed on a LOT of guys... but yet we turned out fine... bashing Alford is kinda annoying at this point . Day wants him on the staff so he’s probably pretty good at his job.
