Tunmise Adeleye (DE Texas A+M transfer to Texas State)

Any specific reason or did Florida change his mind and this talk of no football season up here change it.

No info whatsoever, and I might be totally off here, but I get a certain feel with this one.

Haha. Ohio State has definitely recruited a certain type of player over the last 3 classes. The guys that play the recruiting game just seem to gravitate elsewhere. Look at the guys on each of these lists. I honestly don’t remember a single one of them playing around.

Like I said, I could be totally off base here, just observing.

As Hotmic alluded to, he will be re-classifying and enrolling at UF. Can't say I blame with everything going on.

Big 10 looking to shut it down, meanwhile, Ron DeSantis is telling college kids around the country, if your school shuts down, come to Florida (not specifically UF, but any of their schools). As a High School senior, I'd rather train and develop at UF, classified as a freshman, than languish in whatever city I'm in, basically training alone for a year.

Situation sucks.

So we are thinking this truly is related to all the shutting down talk?

Yikes if so.
if you read HotMic’s post not really.. if it truly was why wouldn’t everyone be flipping from B1G and PAC12 schools...

I think most folks figured him for Florida long before Covid...

No. Check out the above quoted posts from January.

It might be used as a convenient excuse, but this kid was always an outlier with what kind of kid Ohio State is recruiting (not knocking him, he’s just not the same sort of personality type).

Tunmise retweeted several controversial posts from former Buckeye Bobby Carpenter that possibly had some small part in his decision. BC was talking about how the student population at OSU is 70% white and is able to pursue their dreams unfettered while the football team is 72% black and not going to be able to do so. It probably just gave him pause but it certainly could've added fuel to the fire just like the Desantis b.s.

LOL

Now do other schools... i’d be the ratio is prolly the same.

and I think most folks were surprised when he committed and most of the recruiting folks here didn’t expect it to stick... lets stop blaming recent events for something that was likely brewing for a while.
