I know the immediate response from most Buckeye fans is going to be: "Good! Screw Michigan until they quit the sport!"

But if Michigan really does cancel football this year, it will not only ruin their program for several years (good thing), it will also ruin the careers of dozens of players (bad thing). If it happens, let's hope that the NCAA at least gives the players the ability to transfer with immediate eligibility.

What is the rationale behind requiring everyone to attend on-campus classes? Switch them to online, you dumb assholes. I hope they lose their season due to stubbornness. Zero sympathy from me

That would be hilarious considering DFBIA's crusade against online classes

I'm admittedly unfamiliar with the language of NCAA scholarships, but I gotta think there's something in there that would give the kids a release if the school isn't fielding a team for any reason. Even if not, if tsun doesn't grant an immediate release to any kid seeking one to go play elsewhere, they are going to come off looking really, really bad.

If Covid19 causes the end to the scUM season, then I see the NCAA definitely allowing kids to transfer without having to sit out. If Cincinnati eliminated their soccer team and allowed transfers to leave freely, then football would do the same. I dont see any ruined careers, but screw the football program, I shed no tears for them

Even if the sheer volume of student-athletes in the portal from a plethora of teams doesn’t create an impossible situation; even if it’s only TSUN’s kids who are looking for a home: How many teams have room at this point? Even if there are a total of 85 scholarship spots available across college football: How many teams will want to spend the money in a year where the football team will already be operating in the red?

And even if their kids all find homes: some of them who might have contributed at TSUN will be competing for PT against kids that already know the system at the schools where they land.

LJB called it; if they do this, TSUN will be torpedoing quite a few careers.

It's something in the water up there. It took their state Board of Ed nearly 7 fucking weeks to realize the school-aged kids weren't going to go back into buildings during this academic year and finally to allow for distance learning to count towards hours for graduation/progression.

They have their heads so far up their asses collectively that they aren't realizing that the remote/distance learning train has left the station with them sitting there holding their cocks wondering when the horse drawn carriage arrives.
