The DFBIA is deluding themselves into believing that 2021 was what they can expect going forward and that the previous 6 seasons were the aberration...not the other way around.

Let's grant them their fantasy for a moment to point out this: UGA brutally exposed how far they were from being competitive with the big boys on a national scale. Better athletes are a dire need. Surely that playoff run and "magical" season is paying off in spades on the recruiting trail, right? Oh. It isn't. They're recruiting at the same 3* heaven-level they have been for years? Huh. Weird.

It never seemed like the TSUN was in it to begin with. They acted like they are in, but all the resources don't have them really in the equation. We shall see.

It's almost like they've completely forgotten that they all saw Simple Jim and his staff as incompetent nincompoops this time last year. That the previous six years of "meh" recruiting were magically erased by one good year on the field.

I'm not following. "Bagmen" weren't a thing before NIL? They would be favored for him if not for NIL bagmen? I thought "bagmen" were the reason they lost out on every big recruit in the past?

I don’t believe that.I think it has more to do with scUM not utilizing NIL properly and Hairball having little enthusiasm with recruiting and aiding his staff very little. Top recruits could care less about 1 successful season in 7 years, hence why programs with even less success(I.e. Tennessee, aTm, Texas Tech, Jackson St) have had little problem with recruiting.
