The "buzzing" from recruits had been pretty silent until yesterday.

I think Jim Tressel coached Ohio State teams are an apt comparison regarding the absolute peak that these Harbaugh-coached teams can hope for. Regular dominance over bad teams while regularly getting outplayed against elite competition.I think that is part of the reason they are better this last 2 seasons. Their players are mostly 3 stars and low 4 stars.
Their players end up staying all 4 or 5 years, where NFL factories like OSU are constantly rotating through important positions each season.
That has been Penn St's recipe in recent years. They get really good teams every 3-4 years that are heavily RS Senior laden.....then go back to being average for a few years until the RS Senior heavy class shows up again.I think that is part of the reason they are better this last 2 seasons. PSU has actually recruited pretty well under Franklin, which makes it difficult to understand why they have been just a decent team under him. Another hard fought recruiting battle with the leaders and the best edging out UMass and Northern Iowa for that commitment.
Funnily enough, their class as it stands today looks an awful lot like Stanford's.
Great strategy, just be butt hurt at recruits who don't want to come to your school(the replies are priceless)![]()
It can't help to know that, if you become a Wolverine, you're likely to be physically assaulted by opponent players.
OT I suppose, but that shouldn't happen to anyone.
