Michigan coach Juwan Howard faces harsh criticism following Thursday's Big Ten Tournament loss to Rutgers, a setback that likely spells doom for the Wolverines' NCAA Tournament hopes ahead of Selection Sunday.

Michigan (17-15) missed 12 consecutive shots at one point in the second half and slogged through a 14-minute stretch without a field goal, leading Howard to throw his hands in disgust at one point. The Wolverines made four shots after intermission, a dreadful end to the season for Howard's club. Michigan finished 3-12 in Quad 1 games and 8-14 against Quads 1 and 2 this season. Last season, Michigan was a No. 11 seed and advanced to the Sweet 16.

"Just not enough wins and they're just so close," Big Network's Bruce Weber said after the loss. "They had plenty of opportunities, they just couldn't get it done. It's sad because they really are a really, really talented team."

No chance he's on the hot seat. This is the kind of shit that comes out when you're about to get fired.......but they aren't going to fire a Fab5 douchebag unless he does this for a few more years. This is just the media being tired of his shit.
He can't coach for shit. They aren't gonna be better next year. Or the year after that. Question is, how long will they acceptm mediocrity. If recruits stop buying what he's selling and the talent level drops, could get ugly.

How long will they accept mediocrity? Hopefully forever (or at least until they quit the sport, tear down Crisler Arena, plow and salt the ground).
Give him a lifetime contract!
