How far do you see Ohio State going in the big dance. I keep checking out the updated bracketology on ESPN just for the hell of it and I tend to place us in the elite 8 each time. I see us as the team that nobody wants to ever have to play in a tournament setting. Some nights I watch us step up and play at another level and with Matta coaching I think we are going to see it more as the end of the season approaches.

Most brackets seem to place us in the same region as Duke who I don't think we can beat. So I see us reaching the sweet 16 or the elite 8 depending upon what time we play the number one seed.

Ohio State will be a very dangerous team in the tourney with our ability to shoot the 3 ball. Realistically, I envision a sweet 16 birth......beyond that would exceed expectations for this team.......I will say that you should never bet against Matta in tournaments. :wink2:

It all depends on where we get seeded. If we win out, win the B10 tournament, and get a #1 seed, I can see us going to a final four.

If we start to go in the tank, and we end up a #7 seed and have to play a team like Villanova or Gonzaga in the second round, it could be a real struggle.

I see us being somewhere in between, a 3-6 seed. Can Terrance Dials stay out of foul trouble? Guard play can take you to the sweet 16, but after that, you're going to need strength inside to compliment them.

Honestly with the way we play we creat mismatches for about every team in the country. Bring on anyone and I will think we can win.

We have one of the best tourney coaches out there and we will be ready.

I agree with the mismatches statement you made. A team that has guards that can shoot lights out on threes can be deadly. Do you think banking on the trey is enough to run the table in the tourney? Make it to the final four?

Sweet 16. We won't be able to shoot 75% from outside every night, and we don't have enough talent inside to compete with teams like UConn, Duke, Texas (sometimes), etc.

Did you see the way our over matched team beat Illinois with much less talent last season? That team went on to the finals, I think there aren't any teams in college basketball as good as that Illinois squad last season.

3 pointers neutralize the big man advantage, I think this team can make a run deep into the tourney. If these guys are playing their best basketball, I think they can make the final 4.

Well I hate to use the cliche, but you live and you die by the 3. If we shoot like we did against scUM we can beat anyone in America. We shoot like we have against MSU and it might be a different story.

The best thing about this team is that they do have an inside presence to go along with the outside shooting. Also they can play in your face defense when they arent hitting and withthe 3 pointer the lead for the other team is never safe and we are never out of a game. See LSU game.

This team reminds me so much of the old Rick Pitino teams.

If we go to a final four I would be happy as shit, but I honestly would not be that suprised. This team also has pg to lead the way and 4 seniors to lead the way.

It will be interesting to see who we draw.
