Kyle's high school coach is former NFL QB Trent Dilfer.



Dilfer has close ties to the San Francisco 49ers, and knows Ryan Day from his time with that organization (QB coach in 2016).

Dilfer (Elite 11 coach) also has connections to fast-rising QB prospect (and Buckeye target) C.J. Stroud. LINK
In Frisco, former NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer took particular interest in Stroud, and as word got around, Ryan Day reached out to him. He is expected to make a visit to Ohio State.

I'm not sure where Kyle's "offer" stands on the offer hierarchy (OFFER, offer, walk-on), but it's pretty clear to me that Dilfer tipped Day to this kid.
