I realize that this may be in the wrong forum and somewhat repetitive, but feel the idea of this thread will be well received by the community.
I don't know if anyone else has made this connection, but the recent server and subsequent BuckeyePlanet upgrade has felt a lot like Christmas. I'm playing with all the new features, putting them down and ripping open another as fast as I can to see what it can do. Sometimes these great new things make me think of all sorts of other extra things that I want...and the appreciation for each individual "gift" is dulled by the constant barrage of new toys.
As a child, what we often overlook are the people in our lives that went through all the work to provide us with that joy. As I matured and became more perceptive, I can recall looking over at my parents as all the kids were going nuts. They had in front of them, only what us kids were able to afford...yet they had huge smiles on their faces because they loved watching us enjoy ourselves.
I don't want to leave out the others who work so hard for this site...but sometimes, the reluctant hero needs his/her spotlight. Clarity will be the first to deflect the attention away from himself, but he listened to our wants, needs, complaints, etc. and has spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to make this a better place for Buckeye Fans.
Though I KNOW he would respond to this by saying that it's all about the community...that only reaffirms the need for this message. We are all better people and better fans because of the vision, action, leadership and selflessness that Clarity has exhibited since the start of this site.
...Yet most of the time, between projects he just sits in the corner, watches us play and enjoys us enjoying ourselves. I just wanted to give him his own place to get some love.
You're a heck of a person, Will. Thanks for all you've done. It doesn't go unnoticed.
