Texas Longhorns (big hat, no cattle; please don’t Horns Down us)

The bowl's a wildcard for me. Utah was one game away from the playoffs, and now they're not even in a NY6 Bowl. If Utah shows up disinterested and not wanting to be there, Texas will back their way into a bowl win. If Utah shows up motivated with a chip on their shoulder, I think they'll plunger UT.

My guess is plunger. Utah is a pretty solid team, and their mindset should score high on the disrespect meter.

So far Herman has a history of playing below potential in most of their games this season. Herman has not shown me anything in his abilities or game preparation that would lead me to bet on his producing a win over a decent ranked team.

As much as I love to rag on Titty Tom and nothing pleases me more than seeing Texass fail and underachieve given that they are the top program in a major state that produces a lot of talent, he actually has a pretty good track record as an underdog and never forget the Horns upset Georgia in last year's Sugar Bowl. Do not be surprised if they pull off the upset and replay the same fucking "Texas is back!" card all over again for the next eight months.

Man, it seems impossible to believe we're coming up on two decades since that epic home/home. I got more hyped for those two games than any non The Game or NC/Playoff game. Cool that their revisiting on the 20th anniversary.

Yeah, over the years Texas and Notre Dame are probably my favorite non conference opponents.

:oh:....:io:
