Stan Drayton (Head Coach, Temple Owls)

Any sort of background you could provide on those... I'm not familiar with those names.. I know Marrow just from recruiting.
Alford played at Colorado State when I believe Meyer was on staff under Earle Bruce. He has been the RBs coach and recruiting coordinator (something we know is important to Coach Meyer) at Notre Dame the last couple of years.

Washington has been at Boston College for three years and mentored Andre Williams who was a Hesiman finalist. He is originally from Columbus where he attended Watterson.

I think either of those guys would be excellent hires. If there's two things I trust Meyer implicitly in, it's evaluating talent, and hiring an excellent coaching staff. He has been killing it in those two areas his entire career, and especially the last three years.

FWIW A couple guys over at the Ozone are talking about Autrey Denson former Notre Dame running back who is now the running back coaching USF.

I knew Washington when he was in hs. He was a great hs defensive lineman. He played alongside two of my cousins at Watterson (they went on to to play at UC and Ohio U). I remember him as a smart, likable kid from a great family. I can't imagine that he isn't an excellent coach.

Finally something worth discussing...

First person to suggest Eddie George, Beanie Wells, Archie Griffin, Lydell Ross, Maurice Hall, Michael Wiley, Hopalong Cassidy, Maurice Clarrett, Joe Montgomery, Robert Smith or Mo Wells gets a stern look. If you're going to suggest a former player as least pick one with previous coaching experience like Pepe Pearson (and no, I'm not seriously suggesting he is a candidate).

Richard McNutt?

Why not keep it in house, and just place Hinton as RBs coach, he was that previously at UC and ND. He did well with Isaiah Pead at UC and Armando Allen, Cierre Wood and Jonas Gray at ND. He still would have the North east OH as his recruiting ground as well. We can find a young up and comer to be a TE coach.
