Singer-actress Brandy involved in fatal traffic crash

(AP) R&B singer Brandy was involved in a four-car freeway crash last month that left a 38-year-old woman dead, authorities said Wednesday.

The cause of the mishap was under investigation, and no arrests have been made.

The 27-year-old actress-singer (full name: Brandy Norwood) was driving a 2007 Land Rover on the 405 Freeway on Dec. 30, when the collision occurred.

She failed to slow down and struck the back of a 2005 Honda at about 65 mph, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

There really isn't enough info to determine why, but it could be for a number of reasons: Visibility could have been a problem, if the other car wasn't operating properly they may not have had their hazards on, the other car may have been driving erratically, etc. Just b/c she wasn't cited at the scene doesn't mean she won't be cited later on.

Whenever you hit someone from behind, 99.99568% of the time the law side with the person that got hit.

Bad weather- you didnt yield to road conditions
Poor visibility- didnt assume safe distance
Speed- following too closely

Rear Enders never have too much of a case, UNLESS YOUR FAMOUS read: Brandy.

Car stopped in front of you and it had no brake lights.

That happened to my brother. He won.

Thump laughs when someone dies of their own stupidity. When one dies at the hands of a Hollywood celebrity that will likely get off with a slap on the wrist and week in rehab, not even Thump can find humor in that.

Either that or he hasn't found the thread yet.

Yeah, if you can REALLY prove it was the front car fault. Your brother there had it easy, the other driver had the unsafe vehicle. My ex-girlfriend hit a man from behind with the sun in her eyes and the guy infront had one light out, so it looked like a stuck turn signal- the judge got them both, my ex-gf for following too close and the other driver was sighted for failed brake lights.
