SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

The NFL will recycle mediocre coaches 5-6 times easy.

This mooseknuckle had a .680 some-odd win% in just 4 years, 3 NFC CCG's and a SuperBowl appearance?

And they couldn't wait to get his Asperger riddled ass out of town?

You could beat 3 kids to death, rape several more and keep an NFL HC gig forever with half that success.

I am of the opinion his "quirkiness" is so fucking bad no one wants him. The tsun gig was like moving back in with momma and now even she is ready to stove his skull in and be done with it.
Bingo!
Hairballs name is not what it once was. He can no longer hold on to that SF success with so many mediocre scUM teams. And his last QB savior in the NFL is known more for his civil rights stance than his football skills

At TTUN, he's a true QB whisperer. That means none of his QBs have made any noise.

They had no choice but to get him out of town. It was a toxic stew of a HC with a personality defect, an egomaniac GM and a dopey owner that meddled too much.

The Niners had a very talented roster, but by the end of the 2013 season, he had already started losing the locker room. He could not beat their main rival (Seattle) and he was barely on speaking terms with the front office.

They actually explored trading him in the 2013/14 off-season. 2014 was a disaster. It was much the same roster as had been to those 3 straight NFCCGs and a SB, and they weren't exactly old. They even made some decent FA moves going into 2014 that should have improved them. But by October, it was clear the team wouldn't play for him anymore. That whole season was full of press reports that the relationship was untenable and by early November it was out that he would not be back in 2015.

So, a coach that went 13-3, 11-4-1 and 12-4 in his first three seasons was run out of town after an 8-8 season. That's almost unheard of.

Thing is, on paper, that should make him very attractive to an NFL team. But one thing is very clear in 2020: Jim Harbaugh is not the same coach today that he was from ~2009-2016. Over the last three seasons, he has clearly lost some of that fire that made him so good at turning things around quickly. And even if he gets it back, his shelf life at any given stop is about 3 years.

There will always be a few NFL owners desperate enough to believe that they can reignite the old mothery ether (that's a rat pack term) that he had in those three years in SF that they'll line up to take a chance on him. Frank tried to do it with the Together Again tour in the late 80s, and he ended up with Dino back in Vegas and had to finish the tour with Liza Fucking Minelli. Same disaster awaits the NFL owner who hires SimpLLLLLe JIm.

Oh, I have no doubt some troglodyte NFL owner will hire him expecting a repeat of what he did 2011-13 in SF. But I'd wager a large sum of cashola that he stinks it up wherever he goes if it happens...like you said, gets "Minelli'd."

Yep. The NFL is masterful at recycling coaches who have proven to be meh. Would not be the least bit shocked if someone shilled out for Hairball.

Not a bad article, the 2 guys that wrote it are really good writers: i.e. Andrew Ellis and Ramzy Nasrallah

The reality is it depends on how long scUM will tolerate a mediocre coach (i.e. Harbaugh). Eventually there will probably be a game where "Murphy's Law" kicks in. Remember the adage "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while". However, I sure hope to hell it doesn't happen!!!
