When your supporters are split about whether your ass should be fired because you’ve done such a highly mediocre job in the first place, why not throw out takes on the most divisive issue around?
It’s not like he’s got other things to worry about, right?
It would amuse me immensely if somehow Jim got word that the Reverend Dabo had a lot of recruiting success via religious appeal and Jim was inspired to go for it, too.

It's not his first time. Remember he felt the need to wade in on Black Lives Matter. Then again, when your recruiting bread and butter is two star white guys from Massachusetts, I guess it didn't hurt him too bad.

might be in the shenanigans thread but it was a tweet quoting him (almost word for word here) as saying he thought COVID-19 was a "message from God" or maybe he said punishment. I don't recall exactly.
